It's an icon of indoor plants. Why? No other plant has the same reputation for putting up with quite as much as a snake plant!
These plants seem to thrive on a certain amount of neglect. We're not saying never look after it (you should), but it's true that if you forget to water for a month or two it might even look better than you remembered.
If you are an overwater try and hold back and water much less frequently than you think. Not only does too much water cause root rot, we notice that it tends to attract scale bugs which seem to love this plant, especially during the long rains and cold season.

Plant care
This plant needs the following:
Light
Bright to indirect light is fine. Will survive rather than thrive in lower light conditions.
Water
Water when soil is dry to the touch and let drain completely.
Placement
Prefers a dry environment, may rot in humid locations. Bedrooms and living rooms with good light are perfect.
