Monstera adansonii
One of the coolest plants out there, no contest.
Sometimes called the Swiss Cheese plant, this is a fantastic choice for beginners and collectors alike. It's so popular we struggle to keep them in stock! This plant is excellent in hanging baskets, supported on a pole or trained to climb around a structure in your home (a mirror, picture or door frame for example). We find these tolerate lower light better than almost any other plant we have in the nursery. Please note that if you keep this in low light make sure you alter your watering schedule as they won't need as much!
Plant care
This plant needs the following:
Light
Bright indirect to indirect light.
Water
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil are dry to the touch.
Placement
A bright window would be great or hanging in your living room or bathroom.

Some features of this plant...
Top Tip
For leaves to fenestrate (get holes in them) your plant will need good light - if they're not, you know what you need to do!
Fast Grower
This plant can grow pretty fast. It also has a large root system so ensure it's in a good sized pot, especially if you're trying to get it to spread or climb.
Great for Beginners
A wonderful plant for those starting out - tolerant of lower light and haphazard watering (although not immune).
