Ficus microcarpa
The hardiest of the fig trees we sell.
This Fig variety has been popularised as a Bonsai plant but is increasing being used as a larger indoor plant too due to the relatively easy care needs. In good conditions this plant grows fast and is tolerant if you forget to water (much more so than it's cousin the Ficus lyrata).
When cut or damaged the stem produces a milky sap that can irritate the skin - wash hands immediately after exposure to the sap or wear gardening gloves.
