The Begonia is one of the most attractive houseplants you can have due to the patterned and brightly coloured leaves. This variety features oval shapes leaves ending in a point with attention grabbing deep red colouring down the middle and edges.

Plant care
This plant needs the following:
Light
Bright indirect light.
Water
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil are dry to the touch. Make sure excess water is drained thoroughly.
Placement
A bright bathroom could work well or perhaps a sunny spot in your living room.

Top Tip
Begonias like high humidity...not wet leaves. Place on a tray of pebbles covered in water rather than mist.
Stretching
Can get leggy in low light. Pinch off the heads of new growth to encourage bushy growth.
Short Lifespan
Pattern is a high energy low lifespan kind of deal. Begonias last for 5 years or so. Propagate for lifetime of plants!
